Updating….

July 16, 2020

It’s been a few years, sigh, since my last update to this website. Not great, I know. But on the plus side, it’s been a busy past few years! As I wrote on an earlier post here, my client work will always receive my attention first.

As we all know, it’s been a trying time in our nation’s history this summer, and I wish everyone the best. Please stay safe and care for each other as best we can.

I’ve been updating the galleries and info on my website the past weeks, and I’m going to aim to post a new journal entry here every week or so as I can with some fun or notable projects I’ve worked on since I started this version of my website in 2015.

Friends of Erin’s and mine, Joe and his wife Amy, contacted me in late 2018 for their Christmas cards with a pretty wild idea. They wanted to create an image with a daguerreotype look to it, while wearing animal masks and posed with their dogs. The card was going to accompany the wording, “Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!”, a Home Alone reference, but we changed the wording to a ‘friendlier’ one for the final result. Anyway, the session was a blast, the Photoshop work gave me more than a few chuckles, and the result for one of the images on the card is above.

I’m withholding their last name for privacy on search engines, but here they are for the engagement portraits that I took in 2007:

Joe himself is doing amazing work on Youtube. Check it out here.
