Great photography is an invaluable tool for any actor, model, musician, or performer. Jim Herndon at On Location Portraiture takes pride in providing fresh and exciting images for any need - from actor's headshots to promotional or publicity photos to model portfolios.

On Location Portraiture offers two different photo sessions for actors, models, musicians, and other performers.

The first is our Actor's Headshot Session, although it is available to others besides just actors. For $150 (plus tax), it includes the photo session itself (usually lasts an hour to an hour and a half), a contact sheet with over 50 different photos, (1) 8x10 print and that same image in high resolution on a CD (with a copyright release).

All photos are black-and-white or color, depending on your preference. Extra 8x10s (with that image on your CD) can be purchased for $25 each. A list of recommended printers for multiple copies of your headshot can be provided. The Actor's Headshot Session is studio only; you can request a location session for an additional $50 (locations include the West End in Dallas). Studio sessions incorporate both studio lighting as well as natural light for a more contemporary look. Hair and make-up can also be scheduled with an experienced make-up artist. Multiple clothes changes in the studio are advised (avoid patterns and other designs that can be distracting).

The second available session is our Model Portfolio Session, although it is available to actors or other performers as well. For $375 (plus tax), it includes the photo session itself (usually lasts an hour and a half), all photos in high resolution on a CD (there will be at least 50 images), and a copyright release.

With the release it will be possible to make prints for an extremely low price at local photo labs. The CD has the additional benefit in that many models are now displaying their portfolio on a CD instead of a print book. There will be both color and black-and-white photos on your CD; although you can request all color or all black-and-white. The Model Portfolio Session is studio only; you can request a location session for an additional $50 (locations include the West End in Dallas), or you can request BOTH a studio and location session for an additional $100. An experienced make-up artist is strongly recommended and can be scheduled for you (please notify the studio at least a week before your photo session). Multiple clothes changes in the studio are advised.
